- HOW IT WORKS: AHCC(R), known formally as Active Hexose Correlated Compound, is a proprietary extract produced by cultivation and natural enzymatic modification of the vegetative portion (mycelia) of mushrooms from the Basidiomycetes family. Clinical studies have demonstrated AHCC(R)'s ability to support a healthy and balanced immune response, due to the promotion of natural killer cell activity.
