- The cocoa in our Chocolate Non-GMO Certified Organic Soy Protein Powder is made from cacao beans grown on small scale, organic forms in the Dominican Republic and neighboring South American countries, where agronomists carefully monitor cacao production from seedling development inside a special tree nursery through the final harvesting of the pods. The cocoa is made from Criollo, Trinitario, and Hispaniola cacao beans to create a richly flavored cocoa powder.
