Milk Thistle Extract is standardized to 80% silymarin, the key constituent that exerts a protective effect against substances potentially harmful to the liver. Silymarin is a powerful antioxidant shown to protect liver cells (and other cells in the body and brain) from toxins. Research shows that Silymarin promotes liver protein synthesis and proper glutathione function.
