- TheraGest provides pancreatic enzymes that are specific for digestion of fat, protein, and carbohydrate (starch). USP units for lipase, a fat-specific enzyme, exceed USP standard for pancreatin. Units for protease (protein-specific) and amylase (starch-specific) meet USP standard. No agents have been added to mask possible undesirable odor or taste imparted by the enzymes of pancreatin.
