Stabilization method of reduced coenzyme Q10 (Kaneka)
1. Key points of this patent
What it protects: A method of stabilizing reduced coenzyme Q10 by adding reduced Q9 (1.5–99% by weight) or reduced Q11, and the resulting composition. Reduced Q9 is closely related to reduced coenzyme Q10, and the idea is that mixing in a little of it makes reduced coenzyme Q10 less likely to turn into the oxidized form.
2. What the specification says
With 1.5% reduced Q9, a smaller share turned into the oxidized form in air than without it (crystals, 24 hours: 4.5% → 3.3%).
