- HOW IT WORKS: CardioAid(R)-S Plant Sterol Esters is a unique dietary supplement ingredient with the ester forms of the plant sterols Beta-Sitosterol, Campesterol and Stigmasterol. Plant Sterols are plant-derived compounds that are structurally similar to cholesterol. They have been found to compete with cholesterol in the digestive tract, thereby limiting its absorption.
