- General Information:
SAMe (S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine), is formed by an enzymatic reaction of methionine, a sulfur-containing amino acid, and adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the body's main energy molecule. SAMe occurs naturally in the human body and is involved in over forty biochemical reactions in the body. Unfortunately, SAMe levels decline with age. Supplementing with additional SAMe may protect the body from immune deficiencies.
