As a precursor to the coenzymated form nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), nicotinamide riboside has been shown to significantly increase NAD+ levels. NAD+ is essential for mitochondrial health and function as well as healthy cellular metabolism and healthy aging.
