- Ascorbic Acid is another name for Vitamin C. Vitamin C is a popular antioxidant that is responsible for at least 300 metabolic functions in the body. Because the human body cannot produce Vitamin C, it must be obtained through the diet or by supplementation. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin and excessive Vitamin C is not stored in the body; for this reason, Vitamin C levels must be continually replenished via diet or supplementation. Ascorbic acid is a bioavailable form of Vitamin C in a powder form. Certain research publications indicate that Vitamin C may help support the following:
Supports immune & eye health
Supports circulatory & heart health
Supports healthy aging & prenatal health
Supports muscle, blood vessels, bones & cartilage
