Prior to extraction, the liver is lyophilized (freeze-dried) to protect the delicate nucleoproteins and polypeptides from denaturation. Then it is subject to hydrolysis to extract a high concentration of Superoxide dismutase and Catalase. These nutrients are potent antioxidants and serve as a support to liver function.
